AKUMA NATIVITY “SONGS OF THE SWORD” CD Review (CD/DVD Edition) Nani Ue! This is Shion, radio host of the number one JROCK station on the web “Cure Rock Radio”. Today is my review of a band that has been around for decades and one that I am very excited to be a part of their 25th Year Re-Union world tour. My opinions may not be the same as the rest here at Cure or even you, but honestly I don’t give a %*&^, it’s my review. =) J-Metal shock rockers SEIKIMA II released their latest album “AKUMA NATIVITY, SONGS OF THE SWORD” in September of 2009. I couldn’t wait to open this CD and enter it in my CD player. One of the reasons is that these are the classic SEIKIMA II songs (except last track) that have been re-recorded in English!! I have to say this album did not disappoint what so ever! The English that His Excellency DEMON KAKKA preaches out is very clear and fits perfect with the AKUMA & JIGOKU concept. The talent of Luke & Jail on guitars, Xenon on Bass, Raiden on Drums, and H.E. Demon Kakka on vocals makes me remember a time when talent actually counted. I would have to say that this is 5 out of 5 stars that contain awesome tracks such as THE HOUSE OF WAX, FIRE AFTER FIRE, STORMY NIGHT, THE PRINCE OF JIGOKU, EL DORADO, and ADAM’s APPLE. This CD contains a total of 17 tracks plus the PV of EL DORADO. This CD is definitely worth buying. If you are a LOUD KEI, or Heavy Metal fan, this CD is for you. The PV on the other hand focuses more on Anime and school girls being possessed by the AKUMA. The only downfall is that I wish the Anime scene were less and showed more of the actual members. PV would rank 3 out of 5 stars. Their 25th Anniversary RE-UNION tour kicks off in the United States at A-Kon Dallas, TX this June (www.a-kon.com) with opening act Inugami Circus Dan, and then in L.A.. If you want to see one of the best JROCK bands ever perform live, do what you can to get to either location. The LOUD KEI bands you listen to today, majority bow down to these guys. Don’t miss the most exciting live of the year with SEIKIMA II.
